About Salix

Twenty years ago, husband and wife team Jayson and Kay Ball started a fabrication business in their home county, Essex. They called it Salix. The company employed one metalworker and its first job was to make a panel for the fascia on the front of the Savoy.

Salix now employs 60 people and has built up a reputation for designing and manufacturing exceptional kitchens, bars and food equipment for some of the best known names in the food and drinks industry.

Salix has recently designed kitchens for The Gilbert Scott restaurant in St Pancras, owned by Marcus Wareing, and Pollen Street in Mayfair, owned by Jason Atherton. The company's high-profile UK retail clients include Tesco, Hummingbird Bakery, Krispy Kreme and Waitrose.

Design, manufacture, installation and after service

The company is unusual as it offers a seamless one-stop service, from design and manufacture through to installation and after-service. Clients have the reassurance of knowing that Salix takes care of every aspect of the process.

From the start, Salix has been driven by the desire to deliver above and beyond clients' expectations. This might mean designing a bespoke shaped kitchen to fit a curved space, welding and constructing on site, or working overnight to beat a challenging deadline.

The management team are personally involved and oversee the quality of every job. Virtually all our new work comes through recommendations.
